The section in question is 8.255 m in length. The most significant feature is a 3.76 m cut-and-cover tunnel with a twin-track section and two stations at Ferial and Illescas. The structural arrangement consists of parallel pilot side screens, joined at the bottom by a reinforced concrete base plate anchored to the screens, and at the top by a concrete lintel.
In the tunneled section, the track runs on a bedplate and elsewhere on ballast. The project includes definition of electrification of the line and the safety and communications installations and design of the line running through the cut-and-cover tunnel.
