On the north face of the intermodal station of Delicias, in order to substantially improve access to the city and the rail station, an infrastructure has been designed known as the “Northern Ring”, which becomes the beginning of the A-68. To achieve this, the two main levels were connected by reinforced earth walls and footbridges. The project also includes the exit tunnel from El Portillo quarter, access to the southern car park of Expo 2008 and pre-installation of a pneumatic MSW collection for the future AVE district.
